I got tucked in by one of my parents every night until I was a teenager! I loved it and my kids get tucked in every night.
My mom poked her head in and said goodnight until I moved out of the house. I say if they want you to tuck them in, then go for it. Im sure that soon enough Dom will roll his eyes and tell you he is too grown up, so enjoy it while it lasts.
What all does "tucking in" entail at your house, is it just a smoothing of covers and kiss, or is it a full on half hour ordeal?
never and they are never to old to come and climb in your bed for a cuddle either.
I don't think she wants Dom climbing in her bed! =) Do it at as long as they'll let you, but make the process simple so it's not frustrating.
My brothers would come into my mom's bed, not to cuddle, but just to talk when they would come home for a visit. Some of my fondest memories are all of us sitting on my mom's bed talking.
I love tucking in Ethan and checking in on him just before I fall asleep. There is something precious about watching your child sleep peacefully.
