the BIG picture

Got a couple of questions from my friend Alisa. Help her out with this question and the one in the next post if you can!
"How can I make pictures BIG on the blog? Sometimes a big picture is necessary, after all."

Most blogs automatically resize pictures. That way they take up less room on their servers. Sometimes when you upload the picture, you have a choice of sizes. If that isn't big enough for you, you could always crop your picture first to "zoom in" to a particular something you want to show more detail with before uploading the file.

What about the really big pictures I often see posted on blogs-the ones that take up half the screen?

Alisa, Fly back to SD for a weekend, and I will show you! jk. Here's a quick way that I do it. Email me if you have any further questions. When you're composing your post, click on the Edit HTML tab. Scroll down until you see something that looks like this.

Just change that number to s400 or s640. There's loke 2 other ways that I know how to do it, but that is the easiest!

Also, it depends how wide the body of your blog is. You can't post a large picture if there isn't room for it. I just switched mine to minima stretch and pick the XL option for my photos and they come out pretty big. You can also change the width of your body on certain layouts if you alter the code a little. Its not hard at all so let me know if you'd like to know how.
