We always read Luke 2. We also watch either the LDS church produced movie called Luke II or Joy to the World. We also have a board book that is great for little kids. Many families also reenact the story, which we have done but don't do every year.
its always been a tradition in my family to act out the nativity scene. its really fun for the kids and i think they learn a lot when they are involved. the newest baby is always baby Jesus. the other kiddies are Mary, Joseph, wise men, shepherds, animals, angel, etc.
