Help My Hair!!!

For those of you who don't know, I just barely moved from Oregon to Virginia and I have encountered two problems with my hair. One problem I expected, the other I did not. Problem number one-I have naturally frizzy hair by nature. That combined with humidity and it is a bit of a disaster. Anyone have a frizz product that they swear by? It would be great to have something that works when my hair is curly and something that works when I want my hair to be straight. (Although, I might have to give that up for a while if I can't find anything to help.)
My second problem is the worst. I am used to getting out of the shower and running a pick easily through my wet hair. Its never tangled or knotted. It just easily slides down. Since I moved into this house, when I get out of the shower my hair is a tangled mess. It takes me ten minutes to comb through it, section by section. Its really awful and I am not sure why it is like that. My only guess is it has to be the water. I can't really figure out anything that could make that big of a difference. I am using the some conditioner I was using before I moved. I even bought a new bottle just to be sure. Does anyone have any idea what I can do for this or any idea of what could be causing this besides the water? If I can't fix it I might just buzz my head one day so please help!

I love afterparty by bedhead(i think) or straightsexyhair's serum. That has worked well for frizz.

As for tangles, may I suggest no more tangles spray? If it works for them...
Otherwise there is a smoothing conditioner from aveda that works well too. I can't use it every day because it's so moisturizing, but it does make the hairs slick.

I have the same frizzy hair as you do. I might have to try out some new products also. Is your hair tangled before getting into the shower? Try brushing it before you get it wet. Other than that, you might want to check if you have or need a water softener.

Poor you! Elisabeth especially has frizz issues and we have great luck with ABBA curl products or Redkin Frizz control. They cost more but go a long way and very worth it. Leave-in conditioners are great, too. I was taught to not comb hard through wet hair because it stretches and damages the hair shaft and could cause worse frizzing. Good luck. You're a beauty regardless.

Okay so mine is a shine serum...but it helps my frizzy humid Florida hair a lot. Silk therapy by Biosilk. So Costco has a good size container of it for about $12...but I've only seen it for about twice that price anywhere else. If you want I can check my Costco and see if they have any right now and I can send you some :) Ya...Tillamook cheese...we have it in slices here...but not in cheddar...it was some other flavor. Sad day when you can't have a good grilled cheese with Tillamook. Curse you East Coast Costcos Curse you! Love you :)
